Understanding the Fee Structure at Rounick Capital Management

Our Fee Structure

We believe in maintaining complete transparency in our fee structure. As a fee-only financial advisor, our only income comes directly from our clients, which helps ensure that our interests align with yours. We do not accept any commissions, ensuring that our advice is guided solely by your financial goals. However, it's crucial to be aware of other costs associated with managing an investment account. This page aims to clarify these potential costs and how we work to minimize them.

No Commissions

Our firm is built on the foundation of trust and transparency, which is why we operate on a fee-only basis. Unlike some advisors, we do not earn commissions on the products we recommend.

We believe this helps to eliminate potential conflicts of interest and ensures that the advice we provide is entirely based on your specific needs and goals.

No Commission
Low Expense Ratios

Our approach to investing primarily involves direct investment in individual securities. We may allocate a portion of the portfolio to passively managed sector or asset-based ETFs, depending on the needs of your portfolio. These ETFs have expense ratios, which are annual fees charged as a percentage of your investment. However, as we focus on passively managed ETFs, these ratios are typically lower than actively managed ETFs.
We carefully consider the expense ratios when selecting ETFs and opt for those offering the best value. We believe the strategic use of these low-cost funds can help provide appropriate portfolio diversification.

 Transaction Fees

Interactive Brokers, the custodian we use, may charge transaction fees for buying or selling securities. However, it's worth noting that their rates are among the most competitive in the industry.
Our investment approach is geared towards long-term wealth creation, which generally involves fewer transactions and, therefore, lower transaction costs. Our focus is on picking quality investments that align with your financial objectives, rather than frequent trading.

No Load Fees

At Rounick Capital Management, we do not invest in mutual funds, which often carry load fees. Instead, we focus on direct investment in securities or passively managed ETFs that do not carry such fees.

No Load Fees
No Account Maintenance fees

Some custodians charge annual or monthly account maintenance fees. However, Interactive Brokers does not charge a maintenance fee for the types of accounts that we manage.

Minimum Account size

The minimum account size that we will manage is $250,000. Under certain circumstances we may make an exception to this minimum requirement.
